Some nitter fans are trying to keep a stiff upper lip through all of this, but that's got to be getting tougher and tougher to do.
When their coaches left, some of them put forward the idea that Franklin had forced them out as a way of strengthening the staff. And of course, they instantly bought into the positive spin. But that silly false notion was killed by none other than Franklin himself, in his recent interview. When asked about coaches leaving, he said he was surprised and a little hurt by it. No forcing out was done.

This is the classic Scott Farkas syndrome. PSU has largely been the bully. When Johnny/Jackie showed up at Pitt and all of a sudden Pitt was on PSU's level or better, they complained and through out allegations. Then again they have had 30 years of bullying us again. Now we have someone and a staff/administration willing to engage and punch back, they want to cry foul.

The Morning Show called out Franklin in regards to his negative recruiting comments, basically saying he is a liar, hypocrite and whiner. That Franklin doesn't like it now that Coach Milquetoast is gone who just laid down, and Narduzzi is punching back and being aggressive and JF doesn't know how to handle this.
I don't even think it's as much Pitt and Narduzzi as it is Dantonio and Harbaugh.. UM and MSU are hitting their verbals hard and you know they both are negatively recruiting against psu.. God only knows what Harbaugh is telling those kids..

No-one has done more to restore the balance of power between PsU and PITT (due respect to HCPN but he's only been here a year). I know, I know, he did beat Buffalo and that juggernaut Stroudsburg State on his way to that dominating 14-12 record. And Yes, he has managed to drive off coaches and players alike. But please, ignore the sh-t show that is PsU football. And pay no heed to the recruiting class that is unraveling faster than a cheap sweater. We need this guy. I mean, we really need Jimmy Franks at PsU for as long as humanly possible. So praise him loudly and often. Go to the BWU board (or whatever it's called) and say how much PITT fears him. Letters to Mike "Blue and White." E-mails to Rossi & Poni. Maybe we even get a "go fund me" thing going. Save Jimmy Franks. Please, save Jimmy Franks! ........

Actually I do agree with this. They are losing kids to Michigan. I would have to imagine Franklin wasn't throwing that out just at Pitt, if at Pitt at all.

Its not that Franklin can't sell. He gets kids to verbal...he just can't keep them engaged through signing day. The act wears thin after awhile.
It would appear that that is the truth. After all, Jimmy "One Ffinger" et.al. offered the young man and accepted his commitment.
MSU is supposedly leading for Hill but he could end up at either UM (where he has serious ties) or MSU. The one place he;s unlikely to end up is State College, honestly not sure why he ever committed there in the first place, but they have always managed to get the occasional state of Michigan kid over the years. The kicker Harbaugh slept with, Nordin, cancelled his PSU official last weekend and went to Baylor instead. he will likely end up either at UM or Baylor. The next face to face meeting between Harbaugh and Franklin should be interesting.
