It is absurd to think otherwise. Horton may not be a star but he is a serviceable ACC guard who you can win with when you have enough pieces. And as we've seen, he is capable of going completely off.

And last night showed that you cannot guard him with 1 player. I will say it again. He is as good of a freshman big as there is in the nation (besides the 1 and dones). He has All-America potential. He has to work on some things, such as how to handle double teams but with his size and his post moves, the sky is the limit for him on the college level.

I heard he cannot stack up to Bacot. LOL. Bacot couldn't even keep his ass on the court. Hugley made him look like a JV dude.

There are pieces for this team as I've said all along. They need a PG and a Gueye replacement and I wouldn't be totally shocked if they were next year's Miami.

Hugely is an ideal four year player for this era. Too good for most teams to stop but not an NBA sure thing who is likely to leave early immediately. Any continued improvement out of the double team, and Pitt could finally be looking at an NCAA tournament again?

I was very down on John after the Vanderbilt game. He looked like he couldn't deal with another player who was bigger than him. That game would be different today I think.

He reminds me of Mike Sweetney in that way.

Unfortunately, he’s gonna put his name in the draft. Hopefully he gets the right advice and comes back!

The last three games have been great, but we're still a 6-10 team that is losing one of its best players. I get that it feels like we're only a piece or two away after nights like last night, but you can't turn around and discount the 30-point drubbings either.

I'll be quite curious to see what kind of roster Capel is able to put together this offseason. Hopefully Mo is the only contributor we lose.

The whole team seems to have gotten better, not only Hugley and Horton, but Gueye is playing pretty darn well also and Burton and the bench as well, I would like to have the ND and first Virginia games back
It would be poetic for the team to be healthy and gel to win 5 in a row in the ACC tourney and steal a bid. 99.9 percent won't happen, but could pull an upset or two in a down year if they avoid Duke to at least make it interesting for us.

In fact the entire starting 5 are ACC type players.

I wouldn't think a 6'9" below the rim guy who doesn't shoot threes would be drafted yet, so I'd be surprised if he leaves for the NBA. If he transfer portals after what Capel has done for him, ouch.
I’d be very surprised from what I’ve heard if he doesn’t go through the draft process

I mean, if theres one time to go it will probably be this year. Not much more improvement next year plus he can get paid irregardless

The average G-league salary is $37K. He will be able to make more at Pitt or an SEC school.

I guess it's worth it to test the process even if you have no shot.
He's going to be a pretty great college player. He's got a lot to work on to even sniff the NBA. Capel and Chet will give him the right advice for his future.

I am really going to miss watching Big MO. His skill set is pretty unique. He is just so long and active and swats alot of shots. On offense, he can make threes or give you a monster jam. Just a fun player who has produced beyond what I think anyone expected.
