Trust me. I know that if it is mental health (anxiety or depression) to the point where he isn’t playing (because he was playing plenty) it’s much more complicated that your simpleton theory.
This is another example of the awful journalists in this town. This is a weird story and even more so when combining it with the treatment of Dior. Neither pass the smell test. It begs to be dug into. But I guess everyone is hanging around the Steelers offices, hoping to get some breathtaking scoop on a superfluous assistant coach or backup guard, as usual.

It likely isn’t any thing as bad as some of the theories here…that these guys have had additional arrests, that Hughly is insane, and everything in between.

I had the same thoughts too and I’m sure we’re not the only ones. But there’s also a bigger part of me that says it’s none of our friggin business. His privacy needs to be respected. If Hugley wants to talk about it then that’s another matter.
I just hope whatever it is the kid gets well. Depression and anxiety is quite common in my family - both sides. And it can be devastating and debilitating. I’m thankful every day it’s passed me so far as there can be a genetic component.
I’m painfully aware that anxiety is mental illness. I said mental health and the parentheses meant including depression or anxiety or both for that matter. Can’t believe I even had to explain that.
They can disclose high level details about these situations to quell the wild speculation. No intimate details are necessary. This is exactly what PR and legal personnel are employed to do. It’s better than what results from the total silence on the matters. I would think even the players would appreciate that.
Well no…the team isn’t a covered provider, so it’s not a HIPAA issue. But could be out of respect for his wishes.
Then work with him to craft an explanation to his satisfaction.
