Those are my Top 4 realistic choices. Surely we can land 1 of them. You can do it Heather.

He grew up in Cleveland. I added Miller because he is going to be on the hot seat.Musselman doesn't seem to be a candidate at all. Bad fit as he's out west, rumored to not have the greatest personality, and just doesn't seem to be in the mix at all.
agree with the other 2 though.

You and I seem to be alone in preferring Musselman. Win or lose tomorrow I think he’d be a great choice for many different reasons.

Oats and Musselman are very similar. The difference being Musselman has a lot more coaching experience. You and I seem to be alone in preferring Musselman. Win or lose tomorrow I think he’d be a great choice for many different reasons.

That would make them not similar at all wouldn’t it?Oats and Musselman are very similar. The difference being Musselman has a lot more coaching experience.
I was referring to confidence, intensity, enthusiasm, size, underdog mentality, coaching and recruiting ability, and player development. That would make them not similar at all wouldn’t it?
I like Muselmann a lot also. The guy wins wherever he’s at. Who cares if he rubs some folks the wrong way. I mean 90 percent of all the great coaches rub many the wrong way.You and I seem to be alone in preferring Musselman. Win or lose tomorrow I think he’d be a great choice for many different reasons.
Miller wouldn’t be my top choice either, but he would provide a much needed jolt and attendance would spike.I like Muselmann a lot also. The guy wins wherever he’s at. Who cares if he rubs some folks the wrong way. I mean 90 percent of all the great coaches rub many the wrong way.
As for Miller. He’s dropped waaaay down my list. If he can’t win with all those 5 stars how is he going to win at Pitt. Throw in the fact the guy who brought those 5 stars is not going to be on Millers staff. I would Pass on Miller and go hard at Muselman

Pitino is totally unhirable.
He might get hit with a show cause. Until he is out of the woods on that, nobody will hire him.

When he’s 67?Right now he probably is, in 2 or 3 years I bet he isn’t.
My SMF like prediction is he returns home to coach St John’s in a couple years when they can Chris Mullin.
Why does no one want to consider Pitino?
Agreed - He will be back at some point down the line.Outlaw type programs would.
I think he waits for the dust to clear and looks for something a little better. I see him as a young 65, don’t think he just fades away.
That being said it’s way too soon for him to come back at a place like Pitt.
The Houston, SMU, UTEP like programs that take a chance on guys like him.
But hed put Pitt back on the national stage and jumpstart the program. No one cares about the other stuff. Certainly not the talking heads nor the recruits. He's a cheater and a scumbag so there's that...
