1. This is pent up anger. I will not get over Pitt getting left out of the tournament anytime soon. It isn’t even being left out but is even more so the national narrative that was continued to be pushed to the very end. Watching clowns like rothstein continually pan the ACC and not call out the MWC was frustrating. Something has to be done with the metrics because we saw so many of these mountain west and mid pack teams in the SEC and big 12 be shown to be fraud.
2. Losing bub sucks, but is not unexpected. He got so much better at the end of the year and if he is a mid first round guy he has to go.
3. I love where the team is at as of now. Bringing back everyone but bub and fede is huge, and we already upgraded at center. I don’t think Fede and GDG are terrible, and I think are better defensively than some give credit, but they provide nothing down low offensively. I do like the idea of GDG at the four.
4. Dunn is a great add. He was a bit buried on a great Houston team but shot 35% from three on a ton of shots the previous year at temple. If you can get him to shoot in the 37-38% range from three which isn’t unreasonable with great defensive you’ve got a wonderful addition. Even the 35% number isn’t awful. We won’t have a Hinson and you usually don’t but Cummings, Lowe, Gdg, Dunn, ish, and Austin all can shoot over 30% and with a guy who can now score down low in Corhen and I think they will be fine
4. I’m super excited about them going forward. Given what is going on with football it’s time to go all in on basketball
