He may be but in this case, he happens to be right.Smizik is a doofus and should never be mentioned here. Just another dork tweeting his opinion
Gee, he has only been covering and writing about sports in Pittsburgh for over 50 years. He is hardly "just another dork tweeting his opinion."Smizik is a doofus and should never be mentioned here. Just another dork tweeting his opinion

You think I adore him because I would not call him a dork? People who work in the media are just like everyone else, sometimes I agree with them ,and sometimes I do not. No need to personally attack someone just because you disagree with what they wrote or said.your adulation of the Pittsburgh media is somewhat bizarre.

Ron Cook did not vote for Fitz, never heard that about Smizik.I tried to be nice about it, I didn't think dork was too insulting. But the litany of Smizik's takes I think warrants it. Let's start with not voting for Fitz and continue with saying Paterno was vindicated by having his 404 restored.
I'll go back and edit it to something not quite as harsh....
Yep, to my knowledge it was Cook not Smiz.Ron Cook did not vote for Fitz, never heard that about Smizik.

pretty sure smizik wasn't retired at the time and voted for the Heisman. Don't really feel like wasting time googling to verify it, but I'd feel pretty comfortable putting money down on it.
I seem to recall that Smize voted for White too.
Smizik is just pointing out the obvious. It's like agreeing when someone said it is raining when it is raining.
