and to think that if we can handle Miami we start talking about maybe 10 wins and a pre-season ranking going into next year.

Doozy is really something. Even if we don't take Miami and I think we can this guy is the real deal.

Pitt is 4th in the ACC in his first year. There will be serious talk about Pitt taking the coastal.

If JC comes back we have a legit PM om the offense and Whitehead will be one on the D. I am pretty confident Doozy will get quite a bit out of this team. And not even one year as a head coach under his belt.

I started attending Pitt games in 68 as a kid. This is real close to what we were feeling at the end of Majors first year.

Hail to Pitt

I predicted 8 wins as well. Now we have a chance to do better than that. That would be great.

I really did not know what to expect. I was very concerned with the defense that HCPC left behind..hah... but this is what happens when you hire a guy that knows the college game from a-z and who has the guts and confidence to walk the walk causing a great deal of team unity and confidence. It happens at just about every level from high school on up but alot of good people just don't have the full package.

I'm surprised anyone expected 8 wins with our schedule. New coach, new system 6-7 team last year. I had us with another 6 win season, 7 if we got a MAC level bowl opponent. We are totally in the gravy zone now, however I will admit that I'll be a little let down if we don't win at least 1 of our last two (Miami and the bowl) as I now know that we are a solid team that should expect to compete every week.

Prior to the Conner injury, I expected 8 wins from this team. When he went down for the season, my expectations dropped to a 6-win season. After scoring 26 of PITT's 52 TDs, and totaling 1835 of the team's 5,660 yards of offense, there's no way the team wasn't going to take a step back offensively.

Thankfully, the defense has taken a major step in the right direction across the board. While the offense has struggled at times this season, the team has been able to rely on the defense to make massive plays.

Ron Cook is only impressed if Pitt loses less than three games. What's all this silly talk about the number of wins?
