I hate archie miller and dayton...

I don't really hate Archie or Dayton, but I do HATE the fact that the committee gave them 3 home games to start the tourney.

Just jealous of his low seed success and our high seed failire

Re: Rarely does an11 seed

Well Oklahoma took care of them, which is justice.

This is exactly like when Pitt, who btw many thought should have been a 1 seed, was dropped to the 3 line, then unceremoniously shipped off to Milwaukee to play Wisconsin in the second round. We had 4 losses, and two of them were to top 10 UCONN.

That year was probably one of the biggest farces that we had to deal with. Instead of playing a third round game against GA Tech (who admittedly made the finals, but was a much worse resume)NC State, or Texas, we had to play Ok St, who only had 3 losses heading into the year.

Fair enough.

I always like to see the little guys beat the big dogs, with the exception of when they play PITT and Michigan State.

Well, that's that. And, their top player graduates. May not hear about them again until the March after next.

YES

I hate how some teams got benefits ............ granted they took advantage of their gift and ran with it.
Like Syracuse 2003 and Texas 2003...............

The 2003 and 2004 Seeding and placement are some of if not the worst NCAA Committee jobs ever done.

Credit Bob Bowlsby for that that debacle................ I'd have to go back and look at some things but he was Iowa AD and Big Ten got some real gifts ................. including a #6 seed getting to play at home ......................

LOL, I saw a piece about Calipari, and how he went to Moon HS and his grandma worked in the cafeteria at Robert Morris, and he spent days playing pick up games at the RMU courts and was an assistant at Pitt, made me crack up thinking, most people in Pittsburgh hate him, call him cheater, crook and worse, but had he instead of being a big time champ everywhere he's gone, including Kentucky, gone on to be Robert Morris coach and won a couple play in games, he'd be BELOVED YINZER, Coach Cal!

If you think Pitt fans call him names, you should have seen what Rollie Massimino called him after he bought Brian Shorter and Bobby Martin out from under Nova, and tried to buy Doug West.

Bottom line is ...he can coach. I've seen several of his games this year on tv. They're disciplined, well coached, and play with intensity. Miller kicked his two top players off the team mid season this year....despite that, they continued to win. They're doing all this with A-10 talent. He won't be long at Dayton and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him land a P-5 contract at a school like his brother. I don't live in Western Pa, so I'm not caught up on the dislike of the Millers, McConnell's etc.....All I know is they produce.

Good for him!!! JUST WIN BABY!!!!!

Everybody in this area looked at this differently. Thought they should have never been in that game

Heading into tourney

Ranks RPI BPI Record

Team A 57 42 22-11

Team B 44 54 21-12

Team C 32 30 27-9

A LSU 9 seed
B St Johns 9 Seed
C Flyers 11 seed

^^^^This is corrrect. Very under seeded so call it even This team^^^^^

also was in the elite eight game in Memphis last year. Miller has a high IQ squad and usually, with exception of duquesne loss, plays at a high level. Fun team to watch all season which based on my handle --- I do.

HTP.

Yep, Dayton got screwed in their original seeding, Hence, I had no problem with them having the home advantage.
