Fans......who turn on the program/coaches the second we lose a toss up game. Game was well played considering our strength and weakness as a roster. We come in and pound the ball with our strength make great half time adjustments on defense. Don't convert on ONE 3rd down and now we need a new OC/QB combo. And Maddox is the worst corner in the country. That kid is the Ike Taylor of Pitt. He takes the hardest assignment each week so that the rest of the team can run around like mad men and make plays. He get burnt on a miscue and a slip and now he should be cut from the team (joke).

#2 example...How hard is it to say thank you to PC for saving our program from becoming Virginia or NC State of the ACC. Personality or not we have a loaded offensive line and some running back depth that match some of the top programs in the country.

#3 this ridiculous idea that western pa can alone "save" Pitt football. Yes, the WPIAL can help Pitt get where it wants but it is not even close to being the end all be all of a football team. Recruiting takes a national approach to be successful year in and year out. Plus some of this kids want to go and create there own life instead of staying around some of these "dumpy" suburbs of Pittsburgh.

Ok st was an athletic team on the outside the exploited some of are weaknesses as a roster/depth, but if you think this game was any indication of the program or coaching you are delusional. Even the OSU's, Clemsons, and Bamas loose close games.

I root for Pitt win lose or draw because I started with that childhood wow factor that can never be replaced, but some of these clown fans on here are ridiculous and should get of the board. These are some of the best time in a long time that Pitt has or will have .....ENJOY the ride we could be Virginia, NC state or even worse PSU......

Just because Pitt does it doesn't mean I have to accept it , that's what got us 30 years in the wilderness to begin with.

If we didn't have duzz, had some chump, I would be very worried. Duzz keeps me optimistic long term, just think this hire was a big mistake , and I hope I eat these words, will so gladly

Anytime there's a tough loss I think of the mid-90s Pitt teams and loses such as 66-0 to Ohio St, 2 or 3 win seasons etc. Pitt is on the right track and won't become a 10 win team in Duzz's year 2, but they are on the road to becoming an annual ACC coastal division contender/winner.

You are absolutely correct on the fans and I agree. I say the same a lot and that is why nobody replies to my post (blackballed).
Your example on Maddox is correct and most of the clowns on here turn on a player immediately.same with Peterman, he isn't Marino but he is a good qb and everybody loved him last year. See how they turn.
However I do disagree with you on the o coordinator,, he is bad and two conservative. Villanoiva and PSU should have been blowouts. But all in all you telling the truyth something mist of the fair weather fans and posters don't want to hear.

Nov 23, 2010 - Indiana coach Bill Lynch reacts as Penn State kicks a PAT ... Dennis Springer – FIRED. Matt Canada – Removed from OC and demoted to QB coach.

DO YOU CALL THIS MADE UP?????.. GOOGLE

COLLEGE FOOTBALL
NC State offensive coordinator Matt Canada let go after three seasons.

Another lie ????

So Canada should be throwing the ball all around the field to are elite receivers? Or wait better yet the Yinzer..... lets run the boot every pass play to the TE that is double covered.....We have running talent and were running....don't complicate something that is being done the best it can...here's an idea get a pass rush on a team that passes 80% of its plays....

I love how certain fans just assume that because they played high school football or because they watch espn insiders or because they go to college football games that they are smarter than the actual coaches.

This type of mentality is why so many high school sports can't keep coaches longer than a couple of years. No one wants to put up with the Joe sports fan that wears a jersey to each game and yells about the bums on the field

There are plenty of fans who rip there team and coaches after a win. They really piss me off. I ignore the extreme doom and gloom posters. I always wonder why they even bother to watch since they are so miserable.

I cannot stand it. No matter where you go on the internet, whether it is people wanting to play Pirates GM/Manager, Tomlin's Job, or thinking they knew more about basketball than Jamie Dixon, you really have people that truly think they know more.

It is pretty simple though. Ask why they aren't coaching somewhere and are working for an accounting firm and they don't have an answer.

Whoever runs the offense at Marshall, that guy! Yesterday they got beat but watch their Offense sometime , there are others as well

I don't know if Duzz didn't have lots of money to be used, or if he did and just choose Canada.

I knew not to hire Canada, ask NC STATE fans , go ahead, about them, I did, just don't shoot the messengers. They told me.... Too conservative in second half, doesn't like to listen to his bosses, that's why he was FIRED from Wisky, btw, head scratching calls , and allows every team they play, to hang around in games. Sounds familiar already.

Did t Marshall lose by 30 and score less points than Pitt?

What's also funny, soon as he leaves Pitt, you all will be saying what I'm saying now, happens often around here.

I guess he was unemployed and out of coaching just about, cause he was waiting for the Pitt job lmao

Duzz loves him, and I really like Duzz, so we go with it and hope I eat crow, but his career doesn't give me hope, does it you?

1.) The OC is bad. He needs to let Nate throw the ball and not throw in the towel when it's more than 3rd down and 4. It's sad knowing that you're going to see Conner up the middle on 3rd down and 8.
2.) Peterman is fine. He's not going to win you a NC, but he's good enough to get Pitt to 8-10 wins this year. He threw the ball fine last year...but this year he's being handcuffed by a scared OC. Many teams put up big passing numbers with crap talent at WR, it's up to the coach to scheme them quick simple routes to loosen up a D.
3.) Maddox has been bad for 2 years now. He's feisty, but too small, isn't strong enough to play a WR off the line and can't play the ball. He's going to be picked on till he graduates.
4.) I was a fan of the PC hire at first, as it was ANYBODY but Fraud Graham. PC had no emotion or energy and had no desire to recruit. He was never going to get Pitt past 8 wins. Thank god he left...Pitt is better off without him.
5.) Who ever said WPA can save the team? OH, PA, NJ, MD and FL should be the major areas. Anything other than that is gravy. Pitt does need to OWN the WPIAL recruiting if it wants to be elite.
6.) Pitt should have lost this game and did. As I said in another thread, I was encouraged to see them take MULTIPLE punches to the mouth and respond EACH TIME. Pitt teams in the past would have folded and got blown out. Credit to Narduzzi and the kids for fighting and not quitting.

Pitt will beat UNC and win the Coastal. Book it!

"We could be UVA" is not a benchmark of success any more than "We could be Alabama" is a benchmark of failure.

Agree with most of this. Not sure I'd say Canada is "bad" yet, but being conservative and predictable, especially on 3rd down, makes you very easy to defend. Peterman is minimally adequate, certainly good enough to make a few of the throws that he hasn't even attempted this seaon. Without a downfield passing threat, again, you become very easy to defend.
