This isn't fantasy basketball. You don't change coaches who win 75% of their games. I don't think Jamie has done a good job the last 5 years but he has enough equity in this program to have the opportunity to fix it.
He does need to bring in another Herrion or Rice. A strong #2 who has run his own program.

I would agree... but I would also say our pathetic offense in the first half is as much to blame.
NCSU wasn't even defending very tight, and we scored 19 points. We missed 6 layups. We were disjointed and rushed on the offensive end, and it wasn't like against Louisville where their defense was dictating that.

This Pitt team needs to score 80+ to win.... if we hold a team in the 70s, that's a good defensive game for us.
The problem is we are either scoring 80 or 50. You're right, we're a jump-shooting team that doesn't defend.... but today, if we made the layups, we would've stayed in the game and been down about 12 at the half. That's a comeback that's doable.
11 minutes into the game, the score was 30-6. Pitt outscored NCSU 55-48 the final 29 minutes. We didn't come out ready to play. We saw NCSU's 0-5 record and thought we could cruise.
I'm angling more for blind faith.
We just extended a football coach after one season when we ended the season on a dud.
But these guys expect big accountability for a proven commodity in Dixon?
