That's a low blow, bringing out the standings after Pitt had to suffer through a trip in a blizzard, step off the plane without their energized HC, brave the away crowd, and overcome poor officiating not to mention two announcers that don't know if their a--holes have been punched or bored.....

Aside from whether Capel‘s days are or should be numbered, today’s game doesn’t provide particularly strong support for or against that view, IMHO. Too much (alcohol fueled?) Immediacy bias seems currently on display.

I think the big picture is becoming increasingly clear.

If this team could win just enough to give some glimmer of hope for the future, Pitt would probably love to bring Capel back for another year. They would save money on a buyout and spare themselves the pain of another coaching search. At this point though, selling your fans hope seems more like force feeding them bullshit.
