High school graduation alone is reason to celebrate, who hasn't gone to a high school graduation party? It just sounds like a young man that wants to have fun the more the merrier. Nowhere does he mention that he is charging $3, it's a cover charge for crying out loud. Again who hasn't gone out with friends to celebrate an accomplishment and had to pay a cover charge?

Just wonder how ups and state college would take to a state college athlete
having a recruitment party at Quaker Steak and Lube The purpose of the party is to announce that he is going to Pitt or Ohio State.
I'm sure the locals would all approve.

That is more a legit conversation than anything else. It is douchey to press conference when you are not choosing your local school

Eh, let him enjoy it. I remember Hamlin producing some of his own drama last year before signing with PITT. It's just more annoying and you remember it more when the player chooses another team.

If people paid any attention whatsoever instead of lashing out, the announcement is at a free dinner. The $3 is for an afterparty celebrating the announcement.

It's funny if you read BWI they have no objections to it when you read this board most people are upset and I'm one of them that he's doing such a thing.

Who cares if he's having a celebration party. Most of these kids would anyway the only difference is he actually announced it!

Why am I not surprised by your post?

No matter what he chooses I don't wish anything bad for him. I just think the cover charge has gotta be really toeing the line as far as violations. As far as I've heard it's not, but it's gotta be awfully close. No problems with him doing it personally, I just find it bizarre that that is allowed per NCAA regulations.
