Clemson is basically in that Louisville/NC State category. Even Jamie had trouble with them. Capel has somehow beat Louisville twice so maybe we can end the Clemson curse, but I cant see us winning there.
Pitt football has done better against Clemson football than Pitt basketball has done vs Clemson basketball since joining the ACC. How effed up is that?
You can make some money if you believe that. Pitt is +340 on ML or you could get Pitt +9.
Noooooo way. Clemson’s scheme always kills us. They’ll have Hugley running all over the floor. Brownell is a pretty decent offensive coach, they just have bad recruiters and a tough job at a football school with an antiquated facility. Stayyyyyyy away.
Pitt about a 9 point underdog is about right. Sagarin's computer ranges from Clemson by 5-10 points depending on which of his ratings you use and all but the one at about 5 are 9-10 points. Clemson given 78% chance of wining --Pitt's chance 22%. ESPN has Clemson's chance even higher at 88.2 % --Pitt's chances only at 11.8%.
A win is always possible--but very unlikely today.
I believe we are going to lose and will not be touching this one unless live game action becomes good. I was telling the other poster that based on what he posted.
Yah a win is unlikely. That said, I might take a shot at Pitt +9. I think we can stay around 5 or 6, unless they drain 3's like they did to us last year, if recall correctly. I have seen a fair amount of ACC ball this year, but, haven't seen Clemson yet, so maybe I am way off on this call.
Oops. Disregard this post. I just looked and they are the 30th ranked 3 pt shooting team in the nation. Plus they have several guys who can make them. That makes this a terrible match up since we shoot 3's so poorly. I will save my bet for another day.

I think we lose by double digits, but hope I'm wrong.
I've always felt Brownell was a really good coach but just terrible recruiter. I'm not sure the "football school" thing matters as we see in the SEC. You either can recruit or you cant.
I'm looking for a fired up team today. I think we cover....... maybe even win.

Cant give up 38 in a half and win when your 0ffendive ceiling is around 61 points.
This is sad. We get blown out by a mediocre to bad team and we can't do one thing right in the whole game. But we'll hear all kinds of excuses from Capel. Very sad.
