this board after a Pitt loss because of how insufferable it has become. Pitt isn't a good team or program right now but the repetitive hysteria is way overboard.

Case in point. Sean Miller Fan has started 6 separate posts in this forum since the game Saturday. That smacks of some sort of mental disorder to me.

Insufferable, really? Dixon's only been to the NCAAs 10 times in his 12 seasons as a head coach. Don't you think this board has a reason to want him gone after such poor results?

Seriously, he has missed in two of his last four seasons. The best word to describe that is disappointing. Not terrible, awful, can't get any worse, etc. Disappointing. Anyone who can't tolerate disappointment should probably go to a movie or a concert instead of a sporting event, their chances of being disappointed are much slimmer.

Even without the buyout, there is no way Barnes is firing a coach with Dixon's record after a year or today as AD, unless there is a major personality conflict or Dixon engages in some off-court behavior that would seem to be totally out of character. Of course there is reason for concern right now, and I'm sure that Barnes will be discussing with Dixon possible solutions. But anyone who thinks that he is going to send Dixon packing anytime soon is going to be, well, disappointed. And we know how well we handle disappointment around here.

But you couldn't.

Most are now accepting a mediocrity trend on this board and that will lead to continued overall decline of the product hence negative posts..

How exactly does what anyone "accepts" on here impact the program?

After a road win at ND I heard crickets on here.....WBR, it's beyond pathetic. Jamie isn't going anywhere, too much for buyout and losing a big guy like Nix was a huge loss no pun intended. Jamie needs to surround himself with good assistants and quit being so damn loyal to these guys. JMO HTP

I'm still holding out hope that Nix will be a huge contributor for this team. Seeing him at warmups a couple weeks ago, he looked incredibly slim for his huge frame. He would basically have to be the worst college center of all time to be worse than this season, which we basically just have a bunch of power forwards. I think Nix will be a huge boost to the team next season.

You will see it......

Maybe. Maybe not. But no one here has any real idea. It's just as likely that he becomes the board's next whipping boy for not living up to the unrealistic standards that some people set for him as it is that he becomes a star or even close to it.

But yeah, either way I will see it.

We lack an inside presence and he will fill this void next year. Lighten up a little Joe.....
Agree. I don't the expectations are high at all. Basically be better than us not having a center at all. If he doesn't shrink and can stand in front of the rim, he's already an upgrade.

He has done wonders to transform his body for sure. He is obviously mentally disciplined and has a great work ethic.

it will take a lot more than that to be an effective 5 man in the ACC.

There are people on this board who have suggested that if he were playing this season we might be a top ten team. It's laughable to think that. That is a way too high expectation.

And the notion that if he can just stand in front of the rim that he will be an upgrade is silly. Derrick Randle could stand in front of the rim. Alonzo Nelson-Ododa can stand in front of the rim. We need him to be a good player. The fact is that no one posting on this board knows if he will be or not.
