A stand up guy, great recruiter, good in living rooms, but actually knows how to put together a staff and knows how to coach a basketball team during a basketball game, wouldn’t it be nice?

I’d like to be in the round of 64
Providence, Rutgers, and Seton Hall have taken the place of Pitt, Syracuse, and Georgetown. Not every Northeast school can be good and those programs are hurting the others badly. Someone needs to hire away Pikiell, Willard, or Cooley. You have 3 non-traditional programs (ok, yea SHU and Prov made FFs) significantly ahead of traditional programs Syr and Gtown and what was once a perennial power not long ago in Pitt.
The Big East is just loaded with great coaches right now. I fully understand the economics but I’ll forever be disappointed we’re not back there, especially now that the league is really fun it seems every night.
I wish Femi was Trae Young, Will Jeffress was Jayson Tatum and Oze was Devin Booker.

I understand Ed Cooley is no master tactician
He’s great at accumulating talent
He has 1 NCAA tourney win on his resume and 4 first round exits in 15 years as a head coach .
But ya know -
That’s who you’re hoping we can emulate for a head coach
His last ncaa tournament appearance was in 2017-18 season
hey Capel has 3 NCAAT wins and made it past the first weekend as a coach in 2 less season than Cooley
We know you would rather have Jeff Capel, try to watch some basketball to understand the game a bit more so that way you don’t sound like a moron while attempting to talk ball
I’m totally ambivalent on Capel
I’m pointing out Cooley’s resume isn’t impressive and Capel’s resume Is better in the NCAAT.
if we replace Capel I hope it’s someone a helluva better than 1 and done every 4 years Cooley
