Under Paterno's Religion he was given the Sacraments and admitted many sins like all of us, and was forgiven and I am not sure there is a Hades, but Joe did many things right and charitable and was good to his family and he died over 5 years ago, and earns respect as a Great Coach as far as I am concern.
Penn State will Honor him this week and Temple's Coach Matt Rhule a Former PSU Player will too even though trying to beat Penn State.
Somethings are better left in the past and most Penn State and Pitt Fans found that out yesterday that is they are better together.
However, some few on the BWI Board are just as upset and trashing everything Pitt and Penn State, and Pitt Posters comments are just as fair too, after all it called RIVALS!
I have my own narrative on Paterno but waiting to read more after Lawsuits and Trials are resolved that could bring out more, but i still respect him as Great Coach in the face of disagreeing with others that agree to disagree with me on the Lair!
Clearly, as I have stated many times, Paterno was wrong to end the PITT-PSU Series and that was proven yesterday!

Captain I'm still mad at Luck for his part in the Wvu-Pitt football series and Jamie for not playing Huggy in bb.Lots of good games missed here in two sports.B B game close to being brought back in the near future.
There is a good way to change it all by being smarter for 3 Programs, Penn State can see the value of a Pitt-Psu game every year and Pitt can see the value of a Pitt-Wvu game every year.
I can blame Penn State for not playing Pitt if Pitt won't play WVU, both are Historical Rivalries and they all did quite well in the 1970s and in the 1980s playing in NCS Games!
Luck & President Gee saved WVU Football by coming back and getting them in the Big-12 when ACC rejected WVU, and Nordenberg & Pederson saved Pitt Football by getting them into ACC, as Delany rejected Pitt at Paterno's urging and Pitt would be struggling in the Big Ten East to in rebuilding against MSU, Michigan, OSU, and Penn State, UMD & Rutgers too! Pitt is better off where it is in the ACC Coastal!
Either way, all 3 Programs are funded now, and Penn State's is the most still Powerful but they too now have more competition and we all need each other together to play each other even while being in different Conferences.
They are 2 and 4 Hours Away and out drew any Steeler Games!
