Heather destroyed the athletic department. Worst AD in Pitt History. Worse than Barnes. Worse than Pederson. The damage she did, we may never recover from. And I said it all along. I wished just one time I could be wrong about something
She was bad, and I don't think most Pitt fans will ever appreciate how bad because the athletic dept. didn't fall apart on her watch - it was mote like she showed the seeds of destruction, and those will be producing for who knows how long? It was damn near a pyramid scheme the way she spent (I'm including those who signed off on it) and left future administrations to pick up the pieces.
You couldn't criticize her at the time because of the identity politics hall monitors ("or might there be another reason why you don't like her???"), but she has this dept in massive dept and most of the successful coaches during her tenure were actually not her hires. Many people get that confused and think she hired all the Olympic coaches for some reason.
