Interesting list. I don't know enough about Freeman. Is he a ball-handling, pass first PG? Or a combo? Or strictly a 2?With any of the transfers we contacted:
P.Spraks. 6-9. Ball State
J.Gainey. 6-9. Brown
H.Brown. 6-5 Citadel
J.Roche. 6-5. Citadel
B.Freeman 6-2. GW
J.Bridges. 6-8. WVU
Freeman. His college coach played while Milan Brown coached ar St.Mary’s. We may have an in there.I haven't watched any of these six play. Obviously the two players from The Citadel came here so those of you who attended the game would have a first-hand observation of their potential talents.
@gary2, which of the six do you think would be MOST likely to consider Pitt and be here next year?
Thanks for sharing these names; it's almost becoming a more realistic approach for us fans to consider portal transfer names than actual HS recruits.
I watched a little of GW versus UMass. probably not a good choice.Interesting list. I don't know enough about Freeman. Is he a ball-handling, pass first PG? Or a combo? Or strictly a 2?
Because Pitt - along with deep shooters - REALLY needs a guy who checks all of the boxes as a lead G who can handle the ball, control tempo and set up/orchestrate an offense.
Wondered about that because Pitt is evidently also involved with Nelly Cummings. And there could be other PG candidates.I watched a little of GW versus UMass. probably not a good choice.
GW always did throw the inbounds pass to Freeman. They played fast. Saw him make a few good passes and hit some shots. Looked a little combo that game anyway.
