…I would put a few shekels down on Akron plus the 13. I think Pitt will win the game but I can’t see them covering. If what I’m reading is correct, Akron is built defensively to stop Pitt’s strength. So if they take away the run, Voytik and/or Peterman are going to have to step up. I don’t believe that’s out of the question for either of them but they still have to do it. On the other side of the ball, it sounds like Akron might be far from an offensive juggernaut, however, Chapman has a little added incentive to do well this week and that usually isn’t a good thing.
I can’t remember the last time I put money down on a game but this has the makings of a very enticing opportunity. I would never root against Pitt but if I did bet the game, Pitt by 10 wouldn’t be a terrible outcome.
