who would the starters be. I know that Franklin has recruited extremely well but I'm not sure if the full effect of his recruiting will be felt until next year as these guys get older.

I think PSU is better at QB due to experience but Pickett will be better eventually and possibly even on Saturday.

PSU is better at RB and WR.

Everything else, I'm not sure.

I'm not sure Miles Sanders, at this stage, is better than Quadree Ollison yet.

He may be eventually.

McSorley has thrown for 57 TDs and over 7,000 yds. He's also ran for 18 TDs and has over 900 yds rushing the last two years. If I were a Pitt fan I'd be satisfied if Kenny had those numbers after his Jr year.McSorley will not play in the Nfl but he is a decent college QB.After watching the Psu game against App St I can't believe that Psu has an advantage over Pitt at LB or DB.That App St QB was dropping dimes on the DBs,he was very accurate.Psu LBs missed a lot of tackles and let App St get on the edge.Oline a question mark because of how App St lined up,entirely different than what Pitt will do.I'd say push on the dlines.I think that Psu has an advantage at RB they hit the holes really quick.

Decent college QBs win Heismans these days? Because plenty of people are picking McSorley to win it. But hey, A certain “decent” Oklahoma QB won the Heisman one year. He got Ron Cooks vote. And surely McSorley will get Cooks vote this time too!

I think you’re underselling McSorley. But I hope you’re right.

Look at his stats they are very good and Trace McSorley is a WINNER.Belive me I'd pick Trace over almost any QB in college football, this year to lead my team.Average arm, average speed but a big heart that's him but I don't think he'll play in the Nfl.bwdik

yeah in college heart makes a big difference. In the NFL, not so much.

McSorley makes clutch throws and can make plays with his legs, but all and all, he's a pretty average throwing QB. Many QB's can throw jump balls down the field and have their NFL WRs catch them.

McSorley would almost have to be the first pick if picking 2 teams— but after that it’s hard to say.

I’d guess Pickett would the 2nd pick and 3 of the first 4 RBs would be Pitt — Hall , Ollison , and Aston with Sanders.

After that it’s a pure guess. Pitt feels a little better and deeper in the front 7 on D and PSU an advantage on OL and Wr. TEs seems a wash and both secondaries seem shaky. I’d give their specialists a slight nod as our punter is so inexperienced .

All this to say it should be a very competitive game. I typically give the nod to the team with best QB in college games— except in this case the lesser QB on paper might be as good — just less experience.

McSorley has been so good since losing to Pitt and Michigan 2 years ago. If the guys around him pick it up- it’s hard to bet against him in a close game. I have to hope the players around him aren’t quite ready and Pickett steals the limelight on his first truly big stage. Certainly could happen.

I don't know who would be the starters but I can tell you this much a pitt/psu combined roster couldn't compete with Bama.
