I started watching Pitt when Pistol Pete and Walt brought our program back from the dead. I have followed every season since and went to most games for about 10 years. This is the best year we have ever had and it feels great!
It takes time for teams to learn how to win and Pitt should be undefeated heading toward its first college football playoff. It’s not but honestly who cares. This is a first step. Pitt has received more national attention this year since probably 2015, a year we beat the two best teams in the nation but went 8-5. Listen, it’s not easy. Most of the top 15 teams have 2-5 times as many four star and 5 star players. That is just the bottom line. College football is the most lopsided of the major sports.
Narduzzi has a culture —— he has the least amount of transfers out over the last 2 years in the power 5.
These kids play for each other and the team, stick around and that is why we win. He also has the most ACC wins other than Clemson. What he has done here is not perfect and could be better but what he has accomplished is really amazing.
Just look at where Pitt basketball is now for a comparison.
Pitt has more coastal titles than Miami ——-think about that. We also have more division titles than Penn State since Paterno.
