Playing Miss St woulda been better and I think the Belk Bowl committee really screwed up picking NCST because that game will be over at halftime, but this is definitely a nice consolation prize. Pitt fans will attend, Annapolis is a nice little town, Navy is good, and Narduzzi not only has 3 weeks to prepare the defense for an offense they've already seen via GaTech but also to work Whitehead into the offense. I think Pitt crushes them, ends the year Top 25, and has some buzz going into next season.
The problem is that the Charlotte bowl got to see Pitt attendance first hand, twice.
I never thought we had a real shot at that with our history with the bowl and better traveling teams nearby. And there are more teams nearby than ever since we are in the ACC. We really need to sell out our allotment for Annapolis so that Barnes has that quiver in arsenal next year. One year may not make a difference, but it can't hurt.
I don't know if we crack the top 25 by beating Navy (we have one vote in the Coaches and none in the AP) but it may give us our best shot since they should be 10-2 and ranked. Depends what other teams in front of us do.

Sounds about right. According to Sagarin, it would be a pick-em.... and since Navy is at home, that's the 3 points.
