If we lock up charles reeves

There is 0 chance he's a WR. He's a TE and if either of the 2 commits don't like it, feel free to buzz off

Reeves will not play WR here. He's a big dude, already at 230 pounds and will get bigger in college.

Just because he's big doesn't mean he can't play it,and during an interview he did he mentioned he didn't mind playing receiver or TE in college

Carrigan might grow into an olinemen
He has the frame for it. Good bet he's running at OT when he comes off his RS year. He looks like a good athlete and has great length. Combined with a frame that can easily carry another 60 pounds without baby fat and you have a potential impact player at OT.

They could easily take 3TE's. There's 0 depth behind Clarke next year. Relax on moving TE's to OT too fast. They're in on enough good OT's this class that they don't need to start playing games moving people around. carrigan and the PR staff were told he will be tried out ar TE.

I'm sure he will work at TE his whole RS season, but Ive seen this movie a few times before. We don't need 4 tight ends, and you can get by just fine without impact players at that position, but an athletic, 6'7 left tackle who can move his feet is like finding a left-handed #1 starting pitcher. It's all guesswork, time will tell.

And moving players to different positions isn't playing games, it's roster management and player development. Happens in every program, every year.

JJ Watt went to Central Michigan because Butch Jones agreed to play him at tight end. Butch wanted him as a DL all along but didnwhathhe had to to get Watt, who was a Mimmesota commit at the time, to CMU. . After catching 8 balls all year in Butch's spread, the coaches asked him to move to DL. He figured if he's going to do that he might as well do it at the program he most wants to play for. The rest is history.

I'm sure Brian O'Neill had visions of catching touchdowns as well, but the coaches knew what was best for him and he was smart enough to trust them on that. Now he's almost a sure fire NFL draft pick in 2 years.

Reeves sounds legit to me. At least 29+ coaches think so. If he's as advertised, he would get playing time in year one. He has to like his chances with our depth chart.

The reason so many ppl are speculating that Carrigan is a prime candidate to be moved is speed. Or more specifically a big lack of. It was stated that he ran a 5.19 40. If that's true it's deadly slow. I would imagine training and techniques can improve on that but it's still a fairly low base to even start from.
