I’ve been attending home games for 40+ years because I’m a Pitt fan and I will continue to attend. Pretty Simple

Of course I’m not happy with how things turned out but boycotting football to punish Pitt isn’t something I’m considering.

Which is more likely to happen if people en mass stop attending games?

A. Pitt doubles the football budget hoping to win back the 10s of thousands of fans that have abandoned supporting the team; including hiring a head coach that commands a 10 million+ salary per year

B. Pitt drops football and applies to return to the Big East because there is no longer a fan base for the football team.

There are obviously various degrees of football commitment between these two extremes; but protesting by being absent isn't likely to yield better results.

I'll take Pitt firing a well regarded Athletic Director in order to hire one that is better at funneling in NIL money as a sign Pitt leadership does not see the current performance of revenue sports as good enough.

If Pitt had SMU level NIL money available going into the season then Pitt may have portled in an OLine the same caliber as the one SMU brought in; and the season may have ended on a much more positive note.

I travel from Florida and will be there for every home game god willing. I’m an old Pitt fan and proud of my Pittsburgh roots.
