I am here. I would guess about 1/2 full. They pump noise into the stadium and it makes a big difference. They got loud and caused the false start. Pitt has a much better band. It is a very unique environment. The stadium itself is nicer than Heinz, but Pitt does a much better in between timeouts with recognizing Vets, and others.
Pitt had just last week against VT.... I've seen angles where it's almost unbelievable
From the Cheap Seats; my first trip to this stadium, and I agree, nice place to see a game. Had seats in section 231, great view of the entire field. My gripe about the cannon was they fired it after every score. When you score 51 points, that's a lot of shooting. Crowd was about what I expected, especially after attending Pitt basketball games in Miami. Tickets are plentiful and cheap. Funny thing was that it cost more to park my car than it cost for each ticket. Did save a little by paying with SunPass. Most interesting incident of the day was a shoving match between two middle aged Miami fan about 10 seats away from me. Both were eventually escorted out.The stadium with its upgrades was beautiful with great sight lines. The pumped in music should be outlawed by the NCAA unless it is a commercial break. They played the music right up to the snap and it hurt our rhythm. I was at the stadium and the sound was deafening. They had this stupid cannon (should be outlawed) which was being fired within 20 feet of our cheerleaders. Seriously could cause hearing problems.
The cannon was obvious. We were in 121 a few rows behind the crazy guy with the Dan Marino jersey. The stadium with its upgrades was beautiful with great sight lines.
