Kenny has played for 1 HC and 2 OCs. Tino played for 3 HC and 4 OCs with one of those coaches running a style that could not have been worst suited for Tino. Tino played in the CFL. Picket will never throw a meaningful football after graduation.

During the first 3 quarters, Tino was a solid qb who minimized mistakes and kept Pitt in the game...only to choke abysmally in the 4th quarter.

What we saw tonight from Cody Pickett was a full game of 4th Quarter Tino with a couple bone-headed ints just for added zest. I'd never thought I'd myself say it but I long for the days of Tino after watching the debacle I witnessed tonight.

Tino completely crumbled in crunch time every single time. If he were at qb tonight though, there would’ve been no crunch time... Pitt would’ve lit up the scoreboard. Even his senior year with very good numbers, he wasn’t as good as the numbers looked. But I would take him in a heartbeat right now and feel very confident this team could win 8+ games minimum. Pickett was worse than any Pitt qb in a long time tonight.

Pitt needs to ditch every gimmick for short term gains and come up with a long term plan. I do hope that plan is the Whipple offense. Throw the ball 50 times per game. I dont care if we lose every game. Demonstrate that you need a good qb and perhaps someone worthwhile will take the role. 2 1000 yard rushers yielded a .500 season.

His only issues are he can't locate open receivers, he can't throw accurate passes, no confidence after three years, no instinct for the position, other than that he's great?
