near the sideline - can't the corner run and beat the receiver to the spot - can't the safety cheat to the outside and beat the receiver to the spot? Some of those lobs were pretty high and in the air a long time

Vir.Tech receivers made some incredible catches - Our dbs were mostly in position, just could not cleanly finish the play

Motley and Webb dropped potential picks that could have been huge.

If Narduzzi was going to insist on playing his defense, he should have started all freshmen except Whitehead. They could not have been worse (no one could be) and they would have gained valuable experience. They have the size and athleticism that players like Lewis, Motley, Mitchel and Webb lack.

Do we have to watch our secondary beat play after play for 4 more games? Can't anything be changed?

They had good position often, but, you are right, rather fail with youth then fail cause your upperclassmen aren't athletic enough.

I look forward to seeing what Jackson and Hamlin can do in the rest of the season.

Lewis has played OK when compared to others in our secondary, but he won't be back next season. I hope he plays less and Jackson and Hamlin play more.

Sounds like Maddox is ready or near ready to return

I would play Maddox, Hamlin and Jackson as corners

I would move Lewis to SS and Whitehead to FS

We need more from Whitehead - He needs to be a playmaker - Pass breakups and ints

Jackson has had excellent position and coverage all year. I feel for him the most, because he has had some exceptional catches on him. Last night he was right there and even tipped the ball and the guy made a great TD catch on 3rd down. Would have been another FG.

I see some progress with these corners. Lewis will be a household name for 20 years thanks to the INT against the peds, but he isnt as athletic
