Normally wouldn't care but that is Matt Canada's home, alma mater, and where he spent a significant amount of time coaching including as their OC from 07-10. I don't know if Indiana would consider him a good fit yet but who knows. That's a job I thought he could take but a few years down the road.

Edit: apparently they already decided to hire their DC full time so never mind.
 
He was fired for the way he treated players. One specific incident I saw - and don't hold me to this 100% but I'm close - a player was forced back on to the field after a concussion.

I think the administration started asking players what was going on and they decided he needed to go.

In that case Brian Kelly should be fired as well. Forget the losing season, the violations, anything else. He is a grade-a jackass, I have no idea how anyone could deal with playing for him.
 
Yeah... Seem to have simply elevated the defensive coordinator. I guess Indiana could always push to bring Canada back as offensive coordinator. Though, I don't see them paying what he'd demand.
