Indiana Tourney

Where should the games be played?

There is a reason all the games are in one central location anyway. We still have this pandemic thing going on. I don't think entertainment/nightlife played much of a factor in the decision making here.

Why in the hell are these games all being played in boring Indiana.
isn’t the virus punishment enough
Honestly I think the NCAA did the best they could - I'm one that's happy that they got this off the ground.

My biggest beef is that they basically planted the tourney right in the middle of B1G territory, but attendance is so limited it doesn't seem to be making much of a difference.

They’d never do it but a setup like this in Las Vegas when things are normal again would be amazing. They have more than enough when it comes to arenas, think about it check out an early afternoon session at the Thomas & Mack Center, then to the Golden Nights Arena for a late afternoon game or two, end the night for the games at the MGM Arena.

And Pitino would have easy access to strippers.

I was thinking when things get back to normal, it would be pretty cool to have this is one area. However, one of the best things about the NCAAT is that its a national tournament and everyone lives only a few hours from one of the sites.

They are using 6 venues this year:

IU
Purdue
Butler
IUPUI
Pacers
Colts

Just for kicks, if it was in Pittsburgh, what venues would be used?

The Pete
Consol
WVU Coliseum
Cal U
Penn State (a little far though)
Duquesne and RMU are probably too small

Wheeling Civic Center

I think SMF has listed some great venues, but I'd like to offer my list

I would go with the following:

Petersen Events Center
UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse
UPMC Events Center
Erie Insurance Arena
McComb Fieldhouse
Kovalchik Convention & Athletic Center

Duquesne and RMU are too small. Edinboro is a "gym" not an arena so would lack all the amenities. I was thinking IUP as you mentioned but a little far to go for an extra thousand seats. I mean none of this will ever happen but still

Could they set something up @ the David L. Lawrence Convention Center? Have they before for basketball?
