Anyone else watching XJ almost single-handedly losing this game for Indiana? Turnover, missed FT, bricks from 12 feet, out of control layups on 4 straight possessions. I love it.

Indiana had something like a 25 point lead.

BTW - Parker Stewart really put on some muscle. Good for him. But also missed a couple key shots at the end.

XJ - great athlete, low basketball IQ, and a mediocre outside shooter.

I was actually just about to post about the size of Parker Stewart. He doesn’t even look like the same person physically, and it’s not just your normal freshman to upper classman physique change. He clearly has really put in some serious work in the gym.

I've never seen worse or more selfish play. His final 5 minutes was laughably bad. Might have to curiously check out an IU hoops message board after that disaster of a collapse.

Definitely. Always liked him. He clearly used his year off last year to work on his body. That said, he still seemed to hover around the 3pt lane and didn't look strong going to the hoop. He was always a solid rebounder, even as a freshman.

Substitute Capel for Woodson and you have our message board.

Must be because IU just doesn’t know how to handle all that ACC talent. Remember, X was gonna go just dominate the B10, lead it in scoring, because it’s such a step down from the mighty ACC he’ll be the best player in the league by default. It would be like playing against the ACC JV for X.

So said the usual group of board numnuts.

You're right, his last 5
minutes.... terrible. In
fact he sucked and
as usual tried to do too
much.

Ok, I watched the whole
game. He had 7 assists,
6 of them in the first half.
Also had 7 rebounds which
was second on the team.
Sat out most of the second
half, and when he came in
he went from good X to
bad X. His good first half
had them up by 20+ pts.
His demeanor those last
five minutes was also bad.

Stewart had 9pts, all in
the first half on 3's. All on
assists by X. Strwart
couldn't hit in the second
half. His body is totally
re made, all muscle and
his floor game has improved
greatly. Soooo......he's still
a designated shooter. As
for X...still Good and Bad X.

Solid 4-16 night from the field. Amazingly, that's 4-15 shooting 2's. Hard to do worse than that. I can only imagine the sh!t he was throwing up there.

A few were wide open
J's. He also had those
forced drives at the end.
This was similar to what
we saw here at Pitt. As
I said above, demeanor
went bad at the end.
The coach has him as a
pass first pg. When he
did that, IU had a 20+ pt
lead. This has always
been his problem either
very good, or very bad.

I noticed a few games, he didn't take many shots. If you can limit his shooting and turnovers, you may be onto something. Luckily for him, he has elite talent on that team

I've seen IU 3 times this
year. He's not shooting
because their coach has
him actually running the
offense. It's no just a pg
oriented offense as here
at Pitt. He's getting good
numbers of assists, The
problem (at least the last
game) is he reverts back
trying to do too much. As
far as the "elite" talent you
mentioned, it's not really.
It's far better than Pitt's,
but not elite. In fact X is
IMO one of the three best
players on the team.

Stewart on the other hand
is a totally different dude. A
wild hairdo, a very muscular
body, but still has a perfect
stroke technique wise. His
overall floor game is much,
much better. He's a true
STUDENT athlete.
