Why have gone to all white uniforms consistently when we are on the road?
Our home game we went all-blue, both road games we went all-white. Maybe the new management likes the mono-chromatic look, which I hate, but what do I know. I prefer the old school look, always gold pants, always gold helmet, blue jerseys at home, white on the road.

I too am a traditionalist and I prefer the gold pants home and away. I've even grown to like the blue pants for away games.

That said, I like to think that I'm also flexible. For example, I think the monochromatic look can work but it depends on your uni. For example, if we had a navy blue helmet and a much thinner stripe on the pants, we could pull off the MC look. However, when you have a wide gold pant stripe and a gold helmet, going all blue looks, well, silly and amateurish.

Still, I don't get too bent out of shape over minor errors like that.

For me, where it goes too far is when it starts to drift further and further away from the idea of it being a uniform and it becomes more and more of a costume. We are seeing more and more of that garbage and that's kind of sad, IMHO.

I understand that it is just a football uniform but it should maintain a little dignity, right? I mean there is a line of bad taste, isn't there? Or are we just going to douche it up to our heart's content? Maybe we can add furry tails to the backs of some uniforms and plumes to the helmets of others? Maybe the coaches can come out in full theatrical makeup so fans can see their facial expressions in more vivid detail?

Better, yet, they can wear the makeup of their team's mascot. That would be awesome, right?! Can you imagine Dabo Swinney in this get up? Recruits would love it!

Maryland, for example, wore Star Spangled Banner uniforms last year. They put the words to our national anthem on the sleeves and the helmet featured a schematic of Fort Bragg. I wish I was being sarcastic.

How am I ever supposed to root for anyone who is that unabashed about their cheesedickery?

Sorry, can't do it. More to the point, I WON'T do it. These modern day leisure suits need to be stopped before someone gets injured.

I thought for sure, to commemorate the Pope's visit, Maryland or some other douche factory run amok might come out in something along the lines of these beauties this weekend. Too bad. Maybe they're saving up for his next papal visit? Also, maybe these unis just aren't tacky enough?

if they didn't have the lyrics to the national anthem all over the helmet and sleeves maryland's star spangled banner uniforms would have looked pretty cool.

Well they are amateurs aren't they? Lol! I mean technically.

Supposedly the players really like them.
At least that was what I remember as line back when they debuted in 2009.
All-white worked in the snow game in Cincinnati.

I don't like the monochromatic look. The all-blue is OK, but I'd rather not see all-white or all-gold. What I really didn't like was the white jerseys with the navy pants. We've had gold helmets for so long, it wouldn't seem like Pitt without them.

Meh.....next year the entire uniform including helmets changes anyway....

I wasn't talking about the players, I was talking about the marketers. I presume those folks are paid. Then again, considering some of our bizarre marketing decisions over the years, perhaps they aren't paid? Maybe that's been the problem?

Is that Miami's scout team? Easily the worst uniforms of all-time but in defense of the unis, it doesn't matter what they wear. The kid in front holding the ball is about 4 foot 10 and to be honest, at first glance I thought he was a girl.
