Instead of an on-campus stadium, Oakland is getting…

The apartment building is happening. There’s commercial space in the ground floor of the new building, but it appears as though Sheetz filling it was a hoax.
Probably was a hoax, but Sheetz should explore occupying the ground floor for a convenience store only. I've seen QuickTrip do that in midtown Atlanta.

Sheetz already has that kind of thing in State College and Morgantown. The Morgantown one is on the ground floor of a similar newly-built student apartment building. The State College one is downtown, too, but there’s nothing built on top of it, it’s just a storefront (two stories, IIRC) without the parking and gas pumps. They’d make a killing in Oakland, for sure.

🤔 maybe it's not a hoax after all....it would make sense for them to also open a convience store in Oakland, since they also have ones in State College and Morgantown.
