Interesting article on Duzz's defensive scheme

Just supports the notion that as talented youngsters at CB and LB get experience, the Pitt D should improve drasticly. At least, that's Narduzzi's hope. Fingers crossed that Maddox is back this week. I'd like to see Maddox and Lewis start with Hamlin used as a heavy reserve.

So my question is this, (let's leave Wade out of the equation for now) who is coming here next year that will have such an impact to make our secondary better? Sure it could change but all I'm seeing next year is Ford and the rest 3 star guys. Why is the narrative that next year will be better because Narduzzi is getting his players but none of them are 4 or 5 star?

Who knows how good they'll be but they're certainly counting on Hamlin. Then from last year there's also Coleman and Miller. I don't know how many stars they had but I believe they had pretty good offer sheets.

At safety there's Garner, Stocker and Campbell (I think he's a S).

I can't recall if there are any corners in this class yet but shouldn't be to hard to find out.

Whether Duzz is a "defensive genius" or not I'm quite sure he realizes they need help. Any of us can see that. They were in some better positions Thursday night and they just can't make many if any plays. So I'm sure he's doing all he can to address it.

Revis was a three star...he worked out pretty well for us his second and third year with the program...
