Interesting Bracketology this week

P5 means much less in basketball, half the P5 schools couldn't compete with the Big East or some of the WCC teams. That would be a bad 4/5 matchup since both are good enough to make runs.

I wouldn't mind that.... but I don't like the matchup being all the way out in Denver. Somewhere closer, please.

1) since they try to minimize travel, this probably wouldn't happen.
2) we DO NOT want to play in Denver, altitude is a major issue, especially since they probably wouldnt have time to acclimate properly.

Seventy five miles separating top 20 teams and they don't play that's pathetic.Don't give me it's not safe to play them!Luck is gone my God play the game.Dixon's 7-4 against Huggs !Huggy says he'll play, what's the problem? When you have two good teams playing each other the RPI of the losing team isn't hurt and the sos goes up!It's a win,win situation if they'd play every year.

What?

Lunardi is approaching 'Lunacy' with one pick. He has Wake Forrest in the first four out and right now in the computer polls, FSU, GT, Clemson, NC State and even Cuse are ranked higher than Wake, which is just at #92 in Sagarin.

Maybe that one was a typo.

Palm has both Wake and GT in, I believe.

"What"Pitt needs is a rival!
In hoops, Pitt has tons of rivals.

Louisville, Syracuse, Notre Dame.... to name three. Syracuse isn't much of a football rival, but they're a helluva hoops rival.

In any case.... Pitt and WVU will be scheduling each other beginning either next year or the year after. Barnes is working on it.

I'd rather he work on something with UConn. Or Villanova. Or Georgetown. I couldn't care less about playing West Virginia. UConn was Pitt's real rival from around 2002 thru the end of their time in the Big East.
