-Matt Canada runs a power run game offense. He's used split backs and the triple back before. Conner is like a fullback playing rb. We talked about this months ago when I was showing the run to pass play distribution Canada runs. We have the oline and massive talent at rb to plow teams, and most of the better teams on our schedule are terrible stopping the run.. If we can get a couple deep threat wr's out there to spread it out with ford and Flowers, we are going to look good on offense. Expect some new formations and packages.

Agree, but I also think selling this kid short is a mistake. I fully expect this is the last year we see him in a pitt uniform as the nfl will call his name in april.

I'd imagine it is both scheme nuance and the fact we are very thin with talent at WR.

I doubt they're going to zip 20 yard passes out to him flanked wide. That's pretty tough for a RB to catch...but for all I know he has hands like a TE...who knows.
They'll probably set him in motion before the snap and run powers and misdirections.

I feel sorry for the first person who tries to tackle James on his first carry. Talk about a year's worth of built up frustration - the season long injury plus cancer....he might kill the guy!
