Is this the first time a women's college basketball team defeated an ACC men's basketball team?
Actually if I am not mistaken this same team beat Syracuse in an Exhibition game a few years back!!
The problem with hiring a beloved alum is that, if it doesn’t work, the endgame can be messy. Payne has a long way to go before that point (presumably) but they’re not getting Wagner which was part of the appeal of Payne and the rest of their recruiting hasn’t seen a bump either. The same applies to Holloway’s start at Seton Hall, but that’s a much more challenging job. Louisville is going to be awful this year and he’ll get a mulligan, but it’s going to get uncomfortable if they don’t get out of the mud quickly starting in 23-24
