One thing is for sure--Narduzzi has a lot to offer a defensive back. I don't know of any other college program that emphasizes the play of the DBs the way MSU did with Narduzzi running the D. His philosophy is that you need two physical, lockdown CBs and safeties who can cover and support the run, and that frees up the LBs and the DL to do all kinds of stuff. The corners have to be able to play on an island in both the pass and run games or the machine doesn't run smoothly. It worked out beautifully at MSU and it will here as well, with the right personnel.
