They are 3-0 and just signed the #86 overall player who had offers from SHU, SJU, and Auburn. If we are going to go the mid-major lottery ticket route, I'd look into their coach. Its not easy landing Top 100 players in the MAAC

At least it’s been a couple days since you mentioned it. When’s the next (and 50th) recommendation for Sean Miller?

So when do you replace Heather and make that hire?

Yes. So is Rick’s. And to live in NY in his 15 million dollar home. He doesn’t wanna move to Pittsburgh and rebuild. He would laugh. He doesn’t need money.

Miami, however??? 🤔

He wouldn't rebuild. He'd land some of the top transfers and maybe make the NCAAT in Year 1, at least by Year 2. I think he wants to go out winning at a P6 to prove everyone wrong. I don't think his dream is coaching Iona the next 5 years. He is a competitor. He's coaching Greece for crying out loud.

So he clearly didn’t do it for the money. Again, if it were Miami opening, which it will… guess who their AD is about to be!

he’s not coming to live in Pittsburgh. It’s NOT happening. It’s over.

I wish I lived in your black and white world for a day.

I’m not sure why you think you know that Pitino would not want to move to Pittsburgh and rebuild. Some people live for challenges. Money is not the overriding factor for everyone. Pitino would have the roster replenished through the transfer portal before he stepped off the plane.

He has ZERO interest in Pittsburgh. Less than Hurley did.

If he goes to the ACC this year it will be with Jurich at Miami.

If Tom Jurich gets the Miami job, then yes, Pitino will follow him there. I was hoping Jurich would replace Heather one day. He's the best there is.

I never thought I'd see the day where my wife's school is better than mine, yet here we are.

Greece has been a top 5 national team from time to time, 3 or 4 time European Champ, has won the silver in the hoops world cup, it's not a bad team in the world of international basketball and he's got the Antetecompou brothers for big competitions.

he's still getting paid, but he needed to get his foot back in the door. If a big time program approaches with a blank check he's gonna bolt. Is Pitt a big time program? no. I agree Pitt isn't in play here... but the dude wants more money.. name a human being that doesn't want more money...

Which is why he wants a Miami type. He has like 150 fast food franchises, tons of property, houses etc. a couple mill a year isn’t gonna move his needle.

I agree with you on that.

However, if he got back in to big time college hoops again,, there are some cons for a school like Miami. That program is a total afterthought.. There's a zillion other things to do there & it's a Heat town. Totally different college/pro dynamics than other major programs like Memphis or Marquette, that actually have a very good following. And he loves the spotlight. It's hard for me to see him attracted to Miami outside the Jurich angle.

Just my opinion, but I also think he would like to coach at a place where he can go head to head with Louisville.

None of that matters. Just ask SMF. Just offer him $10M a year and he'll take it.

Actually, that's setting the sights too low. $10M for Nick Nurse. $8M for Spoelstra, $8M for Tony Bennett, and $10K for BK with lots of incentives in his contract.

Perfect coaching staff.
