Is Diallo deciding today?

I saw a national article recently that was making predictions, and they did not list us among the final 4.

No chance on Diallo. Its either Kentucky or Abdelmassih........err I mean St. John's. Gotta wonder how the former St. John's waterboy who isn't even 30 yet is able to attract such talented players. Weird.

I was hoping Thorne would pull the trigger. If we do not land him, then who is the next option for the front court?

If we do not sign Thorne, my guess is we lose him to someone other than Kentucky or Kansas.

Watch out for NC St, Vir Tech and South Carolina.

Yes I have. Shame about his knee. He could have been a player. As it is he will finish out his Pitt career, such as it has been, the way he came into it--as a one-legged cardboard cutout for practice purposes only.

Diallo was never coming to Pitt, just like Keller Chryst was never coming to Pitt to play QB. Pipe dreams. Let's get realistic here. We need to get Thorne on board and start aiming for good developmental bigs for the 2016 class.

I know I have a reputation for being negative but getting either Thorne or Nwamu is too good to be true. It would be fantastic to get both. It would change our season dramatically but that kind of stuff doesn't happen here. Dixon is never going to be a good grad-transfer recruiter. That type of recruiting is usually done really quickly, shotgun-style if you will. You get maybe 1 in-home, 1 on-campus and that's it.........very little time to get your point across. Jamie doesn't have the personality or sales skills to excel in that type of recruitment. That is another reason why we typically miss on our spring targets that we get involved with late. Jamie needs a few years to build that relationship. That's how he recruits. A guy like Gottfried or Buzz Williams can go light up a living room, tell a few jokes, and the guy is sold.

I heard Buzz Williams gets on the living room floor and spins around in a circle on his side and says, "Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck!"

SMF, are you serious? A guy tells a few jokes, and the recruit is sold???

I think seeing a path to get to the NBA quickly for top players might have a bit more to do with kids decisions. But that's just me.
