I was thinking that PITT feels to be ascending for the first time in the Duzz era. Clearly, the D has arrived, and the O is coming along as is Kenny. The cupboards are as deep as I can remember and the 2020 class appears very solid.
The 2020 schedule starts with 3 winnable games before week 4 against ND. Momentum could build up heading into that game and get people to notice PITT football again. Maybe both teams are ranked.
But could PITT start to win fans with the other local sports teams descending? Steelers are going down, Pens seem to be as well, and the Pirates, well, they live there. Can this be PITT’s time to be the “winning team” in Pittsburgh?
