That it was such a bad performance and a loss that it will force the admin to force changes sort of like the armed services bowl debacle. If we had won against wisky and got pounded by xavier I'm afraid the warts would have been forgiven. Even if we had won, it needed to be looked at as a loss and a systemic problem.

We'll see. It seems they've given the football team more resources. I have no idea if there are things Dixon feels he needs and wasn't given but I'm sure they'll all sit down and try to figure it out.

If you mean forcing him to change assistants as others have suggested - I'm guessing that can be tricky. Rohrssen II was said to be at Smiley's insistence and that didn't go so well.

And there lays the rub. If the sky is blue and dixon thinks its red, its red.even if 10000.people tell him its blue. It might get to the pt where he is forced to make changes and if he pulls a wanny he leaves or is fired.

Well certainly that was part of the problem although admittedly there's no way they could know that would happen. They had Heron because of Slice and Heron bailed when Slice left. Oddly enough I read Steinbrink's Twitter timeline and he's confident Heron would have come here if Slice was still here.

But there are quite a few people who stated that caused some friction/resentment with Jamie and Smiley and that's not hard to believe. There have been head coaches in all sports that decided to get fired rather than let an AD or GM tell them how to assemble their staffs.
