Is this the most dangerous Pitt offense you've seen?

I've followed Pitt since the late 80's and this is the most efficient/dangerous/explosive offense that I can remember. Maybe the only squad that can challenge that is the '03 team. Thoughts?

As a younger Pitt fan this is the most explosive offense I've see at Pitt ever. Before it was hand it off to McCoy and let him do whatever. Then came the throw it up to Baldwin and see what he can do. So in the roughly the 10 years I've been a fan this is the golden standard l.

I think so, maybe. I've been around since the '71 season, so I was there for the Tony D years. And although he was a threat to go all the way on every touch, overall, I think we have as many weapons as that '76 team, maybe more.

It is most certainly the most dynamic offense. Recruits have to be extremely interested in playing in an offense that consistently uses every available player on the field, including OL occasionally.

Can you imagine being the Defensive Coordinator for the opposition and having to game plan against PITT'S offense under Matt Canada? Narduzzi knew what kind of coach he was getting and turned the entire offense to Canada when he hired him. Superb discipline and detailed execution is what this year's record setting offense will be remembered for.

Well, no. It's, however, been all in all the most creative. The running game takes a pretty big step backwards when James is out and the passing attack could be considerably better. This year we've scored more TDs on special teams than I can remember for a very long time.

Still scratching my head at the play calling in the late stages of the OSU and NC games- it's as if they didn't trust Peterman then. Compare the play calling in those games to that the last 2 weeks.

I really want Belk bowl...players deserve better than Pinstripe. IMO

Listened to the interview with Henderson after the game and he was saying how Canada tells the guys to act like you've been there before after scoring a touchdown and get the ball to the ref. The players sure have bought in and are finding the endzone a ton this year. Very fun offense to watch.

CP is saying this offense has scored the most points in program history.

Until this one, the best offense i can remember was marino w bryan thomas. Maybe pistol petes freak senior season.

1981 - Marino's Jr season. Now that was an explosive offense. This one might be better, but I ain't for sure yet.

Head scratcher as peterman threw 18 passes today and we again ran the whole second half

Agree. Running game without #24 will take a step back due to timing and playing time rhythm. Hall will find gaping holes and small cracks with increased workload just as Moss showed pre-injury.
