I remember watching UW several years ago and saw a defense that made Pitt's look....well still the worst defense I have seen In a long time....but the huskies had a bad defense.

Now they play as a unit, hit hard, and tackle well. Chris Peterson has them playing well and coached up. And they haven't killed the recruiting rankings. Think we can recruit at their level rather easily.

It helps having a QB like browning,he's going to be the number 1 pick after next year, makes ur job as a coach a heck of a lot easier

Having California down the street doesn't hurt.

Ha. I figured a thread like this was coming. Washington's defense seems so disciplined. And yea I know they got some flags but I mean positionally. Seem to just be in all the right places.

Petersen's offense is a thing of beauty to watch. They execute extremely well and the play calling has lots of variety. Rarely do you see two similar types of plays in a row. I think he is up there with Saban and Meyer as the best coaches in college football.

I think they really practice repetition in practice until the execution is perfect. That also helps the defense to be prepared.

Keep in mind his first two seasons at UW were mediocre.

He hit a HR when he got browning to commit to him, everyone passed on him and UW stayed with him till the end

Let's hope so.

I was thinking about that earlier tonight. I was listening to their pregame show on Sirius XM and the way they were describing the program was exactly like how we are describing Pitt now.

I really think bright days lie ahead. However, there are still some bumps in the road left (hopefully not tomorrow night). That's just how it works.

I've been impressed with Washington's interior line play. They are kicking Stanford's ass up and down the field on both sides of the football.

If only....Washington has an experienced, excellent HC...time will tell.
Agree - Petersen has been a HC for 11 years. Seems to me Narduzzi has a bit of room here considering he is only in his 2nd.

Petersen is just that good. Took him a couple years to get his guys and implement his system, but they seem to be progressing right on schedule.

All those years he turned down high profile jobs, Washington was very lucky to get him.

You don't get it Dr Yinzer, we Pitt fans don't deserve bumps in the road! Smooth sailing and national championships in year two and top ten recruiting classes or Fahr Da Coach!
