Not just speed-athleticism and size. Caprara in particular is a tough kid but undersized and not athletic enough for this level. Im singling him out only because he's the most glaring deficiency back there.
Agreed ... Miami backs had a nice afternoon catching the ball out if the backfield. It comes back to just needing to run faster .. who used to say that?

Caprara plays hard and makes some plays, but he is simply undersized and a step too slow. He missed a couple of tackles today that resulted in big gains for the RB. Clean shots that he couldn't handle. Frankly, I think he is slightly better then Galambos. Guy can't shed blocks at all. Too many big runs right up the middle with MG no where to be found. Hopefully, some of our young guys will step up next year and replace these guys.

Freeze is the only lb w the athleticism, but is a spotty tackler at times.
Bam has some.athleticism, but is hurt or unreliable.
Caprara, his effectiveness depends on the talent level of the opposition.
He can be a good player against a duke, but past that, he just is in above his head.
Agree on galambos, to me the one spot where they could see the most benefit in this defensive scheme w a talent upgrade is ilb.
I REALLY hope Pugh qualifies and is an ilb ...

Better DE play will help next year. Price had a terrific year but after that it was spotty. The concern is raw talent and Pitt presently is lacking that on the field. Corners, need to be upgraded and it is happening. DE with Gilbert, Hendrix and Edwards is a start. Hamlin is big to me. He represents the smart, athletic, instinctual player that will make a difference. Coleman same thing. Garner is actually a really great get. He impressed me with his coverage and just needs to add strength, size as he matures. But his ability to run and cover is quite good. Add in Hudson and Ford for 2017 and Pitt is now at a level that they have not been since early 80's.
Fan boys can be excited and want to slobber on Duzz for many things, BUT SO FAR, recruiting is not one of them. It also happens to be the most important part of his job, outside calling the games. He needs to pick up his recruiting, top 45 classes won't get it done. Top 25 classes give you a much better chance
To me it is obvious we need a consistent kicker... If playing the shoulda coulda game. 1 point victory ...

There are a bunch of others that could be considered 4 stars who verballed and recruiting is not done.
Recruiting isn't done until February. If Narduzzi lands all of the targets that he's after, it will be a top 25 class.
As of now, it is 12 3-stars, and 1 4-star. But there are 8-10 more 3 and 4 stars coming between now and february.
