for all you guys that hate Chryst because he was 6-6 with bad losses and a couple good wins. While Graham is a tool - he can coach. Even Wanny and Walt. They all had losses that one would say were bad. Here is why. Pitt has had 6/7 win at best talent. Year in year out. This is their talent level. Under Wanny it was a little better than that. Chryst walked into a situation where it was a little worse. But by and large - the talent level - especially along the d-line and QB the places it matters most - is 6/7 win talent.
Jackie Sherrill always said - you can get up for 2 or 3 games a year. Other than that - you just have to be better. So while our defense looked better and aggressive at times - they gave up 2 big plays - 2 long drives - and did not turn ysu over. This was YSU folks. Our talent level is what it is.
One thing/difference i saw in scheme was in general much better underneath pass coverage. But again it was ysu.
