That article I posted earlier seems to suggest Mintz isn’t ready.
But I guess for me the answer is this. If they’re at a certain level - good ACC players I’ll just say generally - Capel should take the commitment. He’s gotten close but has whiffed on higher end guys. I don’t know if that’s cost him other commitments but not crazy to think it did. He’s in no position to sandbag any kids who can play in the ACC.
I don’t think any of them are close to committing other than Mintz. Visits don’t mean they’re committing

Some of those listed don’t even have offers. That said, it “seems” if they had offers they would commit.
I don't think that's the correct reading of the tea leaves, or should I say the lack thereof.
Some of them have offers and aren’t ready to commit. Pitt might lead for guys like Lindsay and Billups, but they aren’t ready to commit until they take a few more visits and see what happens this summer.

I, personally woud take Turbeck now. He is built like a Greek God and has perfect shooting form.
I, personally, would think long and hard about taking Sean Jones now.
Under no circumstances would I wait on Schifino.

They would absolutely take Sean Jones right now. Sean Jones isnt sold on Pitt. Tubek is someone they should wait on and see how it develops in the next month. He’s a project at the next level. Who else do u want me to bust through for you?

Scratch Hood-Schifino off the list. PSN just posted an article that said Pitt cancelled his official visit scheduled for this week.
My opinion is they got Mintz and will take the next best available guard who wants to commit. Now that they have Mintz they can basically say eff you to Schifino

I’d full court press Sean Jones. Seems like the most likely candidate to commit, he’s close, he’s explosive. Not sure I like his shooting much, although I’ve only seen him live twice, but he’s a really good player. I don’t see any realistic PG options beyond him who are ACC level. They have a few theyre on that are ACC level but I don’t think they’re within Pitt’s reach. Just my read on things.

How do u feel about billups and do u think they would take mintz, jones and him?
I’ve never seen him play but I can’t see any scenario where you would turn any of those 3 away based on rankings/offers. Do we think Horton is definitely back for his last year? He will most likely graduate and never received a waiver. I just wouldn’t count on anyone being back and I’d figure it out later with how this portal stuff is now. I’d have 5-6 guys committed every year. Again, just the way I’d do it.

I believe "he is close" is referring to geographically close.
