So why not dust off the old broken down, dead horse argument over star rankings. Here's another interesting article discussing the relationship between recruiting ranks and performance, this time measured by the barometer of NFL draftees.

For those of you who aren't interested in readying the entire article, I'll give you the drive by media conclusion:

"You can always spin a debate with something as subjective as recruiting rankings to fit your narrative. But when you look at the best way to evaluate the evaluations, using the true definition of what those evaluations are and the end-point data to determine validity, for the past decade the recruiting industry has for the most part gotten it right when it comes to class rank".

I can hardly wait for the rebuttals. Let me predict a few:

1. ...but ____________ (fill in the blank with your favorite 2 star) made the pro bowl.

2..... but look at Wisconsin

3..... I don't actually understand statistics but I like to argue anyway
