It's almost game week

Holly hell did summer fly by. At least that means my 3 favorite sports (NHL, NFL, NCAAF) will be starting.

I really enjoy college football, but unless you're one of the top 5 big boys, it never seems like your team puts it all together. If you got the OL, you have crap for a secondary. If you got the defense, then you have no QB. I really think narduzzi is about 2-4 years away from having a program where he'll have guys ready to plug in and not miss a beat.

Fired up for the YSU game, hope Pitt comes out of it healthy and with a W. Anybody know if it's on tv or espn3? If on espn3, will they replay it? I'm going to be out of town.

I hardly think we're through with suspensions yet either. No matter what hard line the school takes to try to "encourage" robotic behavior, there always seem to be a few fools...aka teenage guys brimming with testosterone ... who still somehow get in trouble on game week. The eve of a Ysu game in recent history the most notorious example.

Didn't the Pens just win the Stanley Cup? Yikes. The summer did fly by.

Bookser 's rather lenient dealing is the most curious of all the team discipline. Especially since his is what we know the most about (and it was pretty ugly), plus considering how draconian the other disciplinary actions were, expulsion and long suspensions, presumably for nothing more than a bit of weed. Maybe they expect Bookser's to be augmented by what the state might impose, or Gallagher will order up extra games for Bookser after what commences (assuming no delay in the hearing).

Meanwhile I'm sure Duz and staff will try to keep the rest holed up securely, especially at night, as the game gets closer. But the internal cravings sometimes become too great for some guys to assuage...
