You might want to factor in who we played at home versus on the road. "Playing better" is all relative. If we hold on we will be UNDEFEATED in ACC play on the road, a very impressive accomplishment. Now if we could only play better at home...
Very valid point. We've lost to Carolina and Notre Dame at home, just Iowa on the road. By far the three best teams we've played so not a huge surprise there. You might want to factor in who we played at home versus on the road. "Playing better" is all relative.
Still, to go undefeated in conference play on the road is not easy to do.You might want to factor in who we played at home versus on the road. "Playing better" is all relative.
It's a lot easier when you play in the ACC Coastal.Still, to go undefeated in conference play on the road is not easy to do.
They are victims though. They get a participation trophy for arriving at Ohio Stadium this year for the game. It's the least America can do for them, they're just poor victims of sanctions.Pitt has *won* more road games than the Nitters will *play*.
I think Duke is a fairly solid team, respectable but not all that great. But yeah, losing that Miami game in that fashion I'm sure had to cripple them mentally. Nobody likes losing, especially in that fashion. That was part of why I felt pretty good about today.
Also, the timing was good for this game.
Duke has been playing over its head, especially defensively earlier in the year, and was still reeling from the Miami debacle.
