Bigtime difference. Barnes is a man with a plan. Nobody knew what Steve's plan was. From the inside.
Not even debatable. Can not get any worse than Pederson at Nebraska and his second tenure at Pitt. That plus the fact Barnes is looking like he's gonna be an outstanding AD, I'd say there is an obvious difference.
It is always about the People brought in, not the task, tall obstacles, and consultants!
Barnes now has to overcome the problem Nordenberg caused giving Pederson a $5 Million Buyout of Pitt Money and then expecting they will give their money to Pitt Football? Nordenberg second worse decision just behind Steve back, and shows stick with people that want to be at Pitt, not come here to move on, Majors and Sherrill regretted leaving the rest of their lives but produced when at Pitt. Myslinski as Athletic Director rejected moving Pitt Stadium off of Campus and not a Pitt Alumnus either but knew Pitt!
Pederson failure at his own Alma Mater speaks volumes about himself and selfish attitude of putting himself ahead of Pitt and Nebraska traditions, just a dead head that thought he was smart like his supporters which were fewer each year too!
Saw Scott Barnes on the sideline at Akron - in the rain. He did have a plastic poncho on though...
